When it comes to taking care of your child's needs, we strongly believe that the staff of Ganon Gil is an equal partner with you. We encourage active parent participation and feedback. This creates a positive and ever-lasting impact on your child. There is a direct and on-going link between parents, children, teachers and the environment.
We believe that that within this circle, critical learning and skills development take place.
We have lots of fantastic events planned for the school year, but none of them will work without your help. Kids love it when their parents are involved in their school.
Please spend a few minutes perusing our Parent Committee programs below and choose which ways you would like to be involved with making Ganon Gil a premiere Jewish preschool.
- Events: Here's a partial list of programs we could use help with: Sukkot with the Seniors; Thanksgiving Lunch; Hanukkah celebration; Purim Carnival; Passover Seder; Teacher Appreciation Week; and the End-of-the-Year Picnic.
- Fundraising: Our annual Bounce-A-Rama fundraiser is in the Fall but we have plenty of opportunities for pitching in several months before and during the event. We also have weekly challah sales and pizza and mac and cheese lunch fundraisers.
- Marketing: Do you have a way with words? Help spread the news about Adat Shalom's fantastic preschool. Ganon Gil welcomes a mitzvah-maker to work with the Temple's publicity chair to get the word out about our school.
- Pitching In: Volunteers are always welcome to help around the school, whether it's assisting with weekly grocery shopping, preparing and serving lunch or helping the teachers with special projects.
